The Capuchin Province of Mid-America met in Victoria, Kansas, for its 11th triennial provincial chapter in the week following Easter.
The meeting was presided over by Br. Mauro Jöhri,
general minister of the Capuchin order, from Rome (shown front left in the photo). Br. Mauro was accompanied by his interpretor, Br. Charles Serignat from the Great Britain province (rear center) and Br. Mark Schenk, general definitor (front right), one of Mid-America's own.
The friars re-elected Br. Charles Polifka (front center) to a fourth three-year term as provincial minister. They also elected Br. Christopher Popravak (rear second from left) as provincial vicar, Br. James Moster (rear left) as second councilor, Br. John Cousins (rear second from right) as third councilor, and Br. Jeff Ernst (rear right) as fourth councilor.
The Province also awarded Br. Michael Suchnicki, O.F.M.Cap., the Conrad Key of Recognition for his work with the poor and homeless in downtown Denver.
