Denver Friars Caught in Winter Wonderland
Friars at St. Francis fraternity, Denver, are still having a white Christmas. Dec. 20-21, they had an 18 inch snow within 24 hours. Wave two started Dec. 28, and has already deposited 16 inches with two more days promised: possible the city's worst storm ever. With the simply-professed friars in Kansas for the annual formation get together, sexagenarians Br. Regis Scanlon (shown) and Br. Gene Emrisek devoured the manual and put their hands to the plow: Br. Chris Gama's new Christmas toy, a 9-hp snow blower. In the background is the building being rehabbed for the new provincial archives.
