On the Feast of the Nativity of Mary, September 8, 2010, Archbishop Charles Chaput, Capuchin from the Province of Mid-America became the shepherd of the Church of Philadelphia. The Capuchin Franciscan Friars join the people of the diocese here and there in thanking God for his ministry to teach, govern and sanctify. His leadership in the public square and his fidelity to the truth of the Gospel inspires all people of faith in their search for truth and religious freedom.
